Using The Business Model Canvas To Describe & Change Business

As a business analyst how many times have you faced the challenge of dealing with clients who see the business in very different ways? How do you build alignment and communicate strategic directions across the business? How do you create innovation in the business, products or services? These are very common challenges face by business leaders and business analysts in a world of accelerating change and ever increasing complexity.
In this workshop Michael Lachapelle will guide you through understanding business models and the use of the business model canvas as a tool to build strategic alignment, communicate the business, create innovation and support critical decisions. The participants will build an understanding of the components parts of a business model and business model dynamics by working in groups on focussed challenges to model how businesses work.

Michael Lachapelle is a Strategyzer (Business Model canvas) certified coach, trainer and consultant. He has worked with the business model approach to business design since early 2008. He has more than 18 years of practice in business design, enterprise analysis, strategic management, and product & service innovation. Michael has worked in the private, government, member-based, and not-for-profit sectors. His areas of focus are business design, business models, platform strategy, discovery driven innovation, and partnership dynamics.
