Two years ago we shared our initial efforts to establish a business rule approach at USAA. This session will provide insight into our continued journey, steps taken and progress made. We will describe the major milestones and lessons learned along the way.

Deborah Green is a Senior Business Rules Analyst at USAA. She has worked at USAA for 31 years where the last 10 years have been focused on requirements engineering, business modeling and business architecture. Deborah holds the CPCU, INS, and AIS professional designations. She is currently engaged in establishing a business rule approach and capturing and managing Property and Casualty (P&C) Policy Service business rules while improving the related skills and methods.

USAA
Suresh Selvaraju is a Senior Business Rules Analyst at USAA. He holds the CPCU designation and his experience includes over 16 years of working on requirements engineering, business modeling and business architecture. He is currently focused on building a single source of truth for the Property and Casualty (P&C) business rules utilizing industry standards while studying the viability and scalability of an enterprise artifact repository solution.
