What Does the Future Hold for Business Analysis Tool Kits?
Presented by: Wayne Hashimoto
As a member of the BA Hiring Team and now the Center for Excellence (CFE) Team under the Office of the CIO here at Walmart Technology I have had to translate experience and training into what value does it bring to our technology organization and company. As a Business Solution Analyst (Senior Level BA) often times I have to leverage previous experience and training to recommend assigning BAs to the domains that best fits the need of the BA practitioner as well as the domain. My challenge is to bridge the gaps and point out how they really have used non-business related skill sets to do their form of “Business Analysis”.
As a member of the CFE Team we are tasked to take a look at our strategic roadmap under the “Thought Leadership” Service Catalog for where we want to go as a part of Walmart Technology. Some of the concepts and tools we are exploring go hand in hand with using Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality to help with the elicitation of requirements.
My presentation focuses on the following areas that we have applied here at Walmart Technology:
- Translating prior experiences and traininghellip;
- Business Analysis tools that work for us
- Conceptually how can AI and Virtual Reality help us elicit requirements
My goal is to provide you with some insight into how we can leverage not only prior experiences but hope to spark some thoughts into how we can apply concepts using AI and VR in becoming a part of our future tool kits in our profession.
Learning Objectives:
- Translating and leveraging prior experiences
- What tools are in your tool kit?
- Concepts using AI and VR Technology
