Building Believable Business Cases
Presented by: Randy Radic
Building a believable business case is challenging; one of the most significant challenges is eliciting quantifiable and believable project benefits. Too often the benefits are not clearly understood, are misrepresented, or are too subjective to measure.
During this session, Randy will share techniques that will help you create strong and credible business cases. He will present a case study that illustrates how he helped create a business case to justify a $45 million program to completely redesign company’s commercial operations and supporting technologies. Randy will discuss the importance of elicitation techniques selection when collecting project benefits, as well as the importance for building key stakeholder consensus around those benefits. He will also share strategies for preparing and communicating the business case for approval to a senior executive team.
Learning Objectives:
- The importance of elicitation techniques when collecting business case benefits
- The importance of building key stakeholder consensus around business case benefits
