We all reap the benefits of smartphones and various other automated systems. But those same technology advances also mean that our professional roles are changing.

We see more companies using analytics and artificial intelligence. More than ever, non-technology companies are deploying technologies because their customers demand it. Organizations are adopting agile practices because they know their customers' demands are changing rapidly.

With all these advancements, we anticipate that computers will start to automate much of what we do in business analysis. Everything from elicitation to specification to review will inevitably become automated.
