Paul Haley

Mr. Haley developed the first commercial knowledge-based systems and inference engines at Carnegie Mellon and Inference Corporation.
At Inference, he led the development of the Automated Reasoning Tool, the ancestor of most popular rule languages today.
At Intelligent Technology, Mr. Haley combined inference with natural language understanding and machine learning for program trading.
At Haley Systems, he developed the fastest inference engine available and the first capable of running large knowledge-based systems on PCs.
Gartner declared Haley the visionary leader in automating business logic by translating from English in ways Forrester declared most accessible to non-technical stakeholders.
Since Oracle acquired Haley Systems, he has developed more advanced natural language understanding and reasoning technology and worked with Paul Allen, Intel, HP, Knewton, and others.
