Evidence Based Decisions and Data
Presented by: Ken Fulmer
The role of data analytics and how it is used directly by business analysis professionals is changing quickly. We are moving from the business intelligence oriented approach for internal business assessment to more customer and market facing uses. The business analysis professional will use analytics as a mechanism of elicitation to understand the customer need while the business will use data analytics to understand the market, and make decisions. Practitioners will work with the business to create visualizations, and probe the data to gain insights that need further analysis to drive decisions.
This presentation will look at these issues, and speak to many use cases about this extended understanding of data, big data, and how the new analytics all tie into better business outcomes.
- How to use data analytics as an elicitation tool
- The need for data based decisions to make decisions
- How understanding data including big data ties into delivering better business outcomes
