IIBA® released the “Agile Extension to the BABOK Guide, v2” in August 2017 and it has taken our world by storm! This publication has propelled agile analysis to the next level and received much praise for advancing the state of the practice. Three members of the core team responsible for this publication address the most current and important updates to the Agile Extension.  The conversation will focus on key questions received by IIBA® and the Agile Alliance since the August release, as well as providing you the opportunity to pose your questions.

Jas is a seasoned professional whose career has spanned over 25 years of helping project teams and organizations reach their potential. As a Certified Business Analysis Professional® (CBAP®), a Project Management Professional® (PMP®), a Certified Agile Project Manager (Cert. APM®), and a Certified Change Management Expert (Prosci®), Jas leverages a unique combination of knowledge, skills and experience for each challenge. 

During his career, Jas has experienced a wide variety of industries as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, Technical Specialist, IT Software Development Manager, and Senior Management Consultant. He provides deep expertise in helping organizations leverage and integrate best practices across multiple disciplines to dramatically improve organization performance.

In his role of Product Manager – BA Practice Development at IIBA® (International Institute of Business Analysis), Jas serves a global community of business analysis professionals, providing innovative products and services that can be leveraged at an organizational level to drive better business outcomes.

Kent is a writer and product manager who helps product people deliver powerful internal products. He has IT and product development experience in a variety of industries including financial services, health insurance, nonprofit, and automotive. Kent practices his craft as product manager at the Agile Alliance and shares his ideas and experiences at KBP.media.  When not writing or product managing, Kent is his family's #ubersherpa, listens to jazz and podcasts (but not necessarily podcasts about jazz), and collects national parks.

Director of Agile Learning Programs

Shane Hastie joined ICAgile in 2017 as the Director of Agile Learning Programs. He has oversight in the strategic direction and expansion of ICAgile's learning programs, including maintaining and extending ICAgile's learning objectives, providing thought leadership and collaborating with industry experts, and supporting the larger ICAgile community, which includes more than 90 Member Organizations and approximately 50,000 ICAgile certification holders.

Over the last 30+ years Shane has been a practitioner and leader of developers, testers, trainers, project managers and business analysts, helping teams to deliver results that align with overall business objectives. He spent 15 years as a professional trainer and consultant specializing in Agile practices, business analysis, project management, requirements, testing and methodologies for SoftEd in Australia, New Zealand and around the world.

Shane was a member of the core team who led the production of V3 of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge and was part of the team for both versions of the Agile Extension of the BABOK. He was a member of the board of the Agile Alliance from 2011 until 2016.
