• How is your presentation relevant to the theme of this year’s BBC conference: Innovation in the Fast Lane?

Innovation can be defined as a new method of doing something. My talk is about my organization’s transformation from delivery software following a Waterfall Methodology to an Agile Approach. As an organization we had years and years of rigid Waterfall processes and deliverables to abandon and a whole new set of Agile processes, ceremonies and deliverables to learn and adopt. It was a journey and all in all a successful one!

• What are your top tips for companies or employees wishing to innovate?

I believe that both companies and employees need to predict changes in the marketplace and provide solutions before anyone even knows there was a change. Companies and employees need to brainstorm new ideas and try new things to be Innovative. And always remember just because something worked a few years ago it won’t necessarily work today.
