• How is your presentation relevant to the theme of this year’s BBC conference: Innovation in the Fast Lane?

Innovation starts with building the right organisational culture, where teams do it without being prompted or told. Traditionally Business Analysts have been expected to spoon feed delivery teams with requirements and designs. At Deutsche Bank, we have focused on building a different mindset where delivery teams are given scope to innovate without our Business Analysts being over prescriptive with their designs. During this presentation attendees will get an insight into how we have driven this cultural change through our Agile training strategy.

• What are your top tips for companies or employees wishing to innovate?

1. Get buy in from the leadership to embrace an innovation culture.
2. Run small innovation experiments and be prepared to write off those that do not deliver a tangible return, but don’t write off the learning we discover.
