• How is your presentation relevant to the theme of this year’s BBC conference: Innovation in the Fast Lane?

Establishing and defining your organization’s Business Architecture provides a strong business building block foundation. This foundation allows the removal of ambiguity about what the business does to reach its customers. New strategies and the impact of those strategies becomes much simpler, clearer and better understood when evaluated against a business architecture foundation . This presentation discusses establishing a guerilla business architecture practice that can drive the development of that foundation, and integrate the use of it for evaluating strategy and innovation.

• What are your top tips for companies or employees wishing to innovate?

Innovation is not invention. Innovation is about using what you have to be more productive and reach new customers in new ways. Establishing a repeatable approach to determine what you have to work with, and how those things might be reconfigured or reimagined is key to innovating in the fast lane.
