• How is your presentation relevant to the theme of this year’s BBC conference: Innovation in the Fast Lane?

The Leadership workshop will assist participants in discovering how they can become better leaders that are required to facilitate change. Without leadership, change becomes more difficult especially at the pace at which change is required. In order to innovate in the fast lane, organizations require strong leadership!

• What are your top tips for companies or employees wishing to innovate?

Often companies see the need to innovate but don’t do the proper analysis to ensure that the innovation will give them value. As a practitioner, it is good practice to step back and ensure that we’re not only doing things right, but that we’re also doing the right things. Innovation without value is worthless, so make sure that we’re not innovating because we see some shiny new technology and that innovation is being pursued for the right reasons.
