How is your presentation relevant to the theme of this year’s BBC conference: Innovation in the Fast Lane?
The techniques that people have been using for years are not keeping up with the use modern collaborative approaches of Agile and DevOps and how we get our work done. Creating new ways of capturing requirements and information using gamification will assist with creating new, innovative, modern collaborative techniques that will help take you from an “I have to” to an “I want to” mentality.

What are your top tips for companies or employees wishing to innovate?
- Learn to be okay with failure. Failure is just mistakes becoming strengths.
- It is more than being creative. You have to have output and not just great ideas. Make sure your innovation is accountable.
- Be in it to win it. It takes a long time to change a culture. Not everyone will want to invest in the innovation right away.
- Be willing to become a disruptor! Challenge the norm, find your niche approach.
